Since 2017, Republic Report‘s “Trump Terrible 10” has ranked the week’s 10 most disgraceful  figures in Trump world. This week’s list is simply for the record; we don’t have anything to offer that others didn’t say convincingly over the weekend. But damn. As with Charlottesville a year ago, there’s little point in counting down nine other dishonest, corrupt, or otherwise ugly Trump world denizens, when there’s so much disgustingness emanating from the head.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, & 10. Donald J. Trump, President of the United States. 

Trump is a dishonest, crooked, corrupt, kleptocratic, childish, bigoted, misogynist, racist horror. His weak, reckless incompetence and insecurity endanger our economy and national security, even as his cynical attack on the truth and his blatant racial animus is pushing his followers to new heights of ugliness.

Losing his mind as Mueller closes in on Paul Manafort, Michael Cohen, Roger Stone, and other confidants, and as the false statements, and naked admissions, pile up about the caught-red-handed Trump Tower family attempt to unlawfully obtain campaign assistance from the Russian regime, Trump is ratcheting up his rally remarks and tweets not only to broadcast endless lies but also to incite hatred, division, and, potentially, violence.

When Trump again calls the press who write the truth about him the “Enemy of the People” and adds that they are “very dangerous and sick,” and then you look at and listen to people at his rallies, the lies they believe, and the threats they make, it’s a grave concern.

Trump is again number one — the most disgraceful figure in Trump world. Trump is not merely a disgrace; he’s a total and complete disgrace.

There will be stark moments of truth ahead, with our democracy on the line — if Trump fires Mueller, if Trump pardons his underlings or himself, if Trump pursues extra-legal attacks on his foes, if Trump zealots start killing people. Republicans, especially the professional Republican class, and U.S. corporate leaders, have to decide right now, once and for all, whether they really love their short-term power and paydays more than they love their country.

As for everyone else, see you at the barricades and at the polls.
