Dozens of Top Ex-Trump Aides Have Condemned Him. Biden? None.
Dozens of senior officials who served under Donald Trump during his presidency have since sharply criticized Trump for his conduct while in office. I’m not aware of any senior official who has served in the presidential administration of Joe Biden who has condemned him.
UPDATE: A few days after we posted our article, “Dozens of Top Ex-Trump Aides Have Condemned Him. Biden? None,” CNN.com posted a piece called “24 former Trump allies and aides who turned against him.” The article includes a few people not on our list. They didn’t make our list because their criticisms were less explicit and/or I wouldn’t characterize them as Trump administration aides: Chris Christie (briefly the transition director in 2016); Mark Milley (who said when retiring this year as chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, “We don’t take an oath to a wannabe dictator. We take an oath to the Constitution and we take an oath to the idea that is America – and we’re willing to die to protect it”); Elaine Chao (“At a particular point the events were such that it was impossible for me to continue, given my personal values and my philosophy”); and Michael Cohen (never worked in the administration). But yes, more folks who have repudiated Trump.
