Guys, the next time you get some time with Grover, don’t waste any time asking him ‘why’ someone gave him money – establish that they did give him money and move on. His answer will always be the same. Were you to ask him why his grandmother gave him $25 when he graduated from high school, he would say that she was supporting his efforts to prevent her taxes being raised, ever, and on many levels, he’d be telling you the truth. Ask him what you really want to know, and Grover will answer you – he’s not shy about what he does. He was out of time, so he left, but I’m sure he’ll be happy to explain what he did for Fannie May. He has great confidence in what he believes – it’s his greatest strength and his greatest weakness. Ask him the right question, and he’ll happily hang himself on his own petard.
