Sheldon Adelson May Donate $10 Million To Romney’s SuperPAC

Billionaire Sheldon Adelson, owner of casinos in Macau and Las Vegas, is planning to boost Mitt Romney’s chances for the White House. Yesterday, Politico reported on the ongoing efforts by political operatives to solicit funds from Adelson. A day after his story was published, Ken Vogel disclosed that Adelson may give Romney’s Super PAC as much as $10 million:

Sheldon Adelson May Donate Million To Romney's SuperPAC

After Adelson made waves for buoying Newt Gingrich’s presidential bid with generous donations, he made clear to the press that he will focus his donations towards efforts to elect Romney. He told reporters that he could give away $100 million of his money this election, though much of it may be routed through secretive 501(c) groups that do not have to disclose their donors.

Vogel’s tweet is unsourced, but he has been in close contact with the GOP operatives behind the major Super PACs, and broken stories using these connections in the past.
